I have survived
I feel very stable.
Stone by stone, a foundation has been laid.
I feel that I am standing on solid rock—strong, steady, and unshaken.
I have been through rough storms.
I was shaken and wavering,
caught in constant ups and downs,
never sure where I was going.
I could not trust myself.
For a while
I stayed still until the storm passed.
Now the storms seem to be gone.
There is a deep quiet within me.
I feel still.
I have survived.
The storms washed everything away,
revealing the solid rock beneath.
Through it all, I have become much stronger.
I am very proud of myself
for having gone through those storms
and for becoming who I am now.
The day is bright.
The sun is shining.
I can breathe deeply.
I am content
I am content
as I become who I truly am.
There is a deep peace
within me.
I am okay.
I am safe
on this rock.
